AJ Edu, Kevin Quiambao, and Dwight Ramos will be arriving on Monday night to join the rest of Gilas Pilipinas in its brief training camp at the Inspire Sports Academy.

Gilas team manager Alfrancis Chua disclosed the arrival of the three on the eve of the team's departure for Laguna.

"Darating na sila later and kasama sila sa Inspire (Academy)," said Chua during the unveiling of the PBA 50th logo on Monday.

All three are coming from the B. League in Japan and the Korean Basketball League.

Another KBL stalwart, Carl Tamayo, will head straight from Korea to Doha, Qatar for Gilas' training camp and friendlies and later Asia Cup qualifier s against Lebanon and Chinese Taipei.

Like Tamayo, also going straight to Doha is Meralco guard Chris Newsome as he'll be coming from Chinese Taipei where the Bolts will have a game against Jeremy Lin and the New Taipei Kings for the last Final Four berth of the East Asia Super League (EASL).

The team will enter the Inspire training camp on Feb. 11 and 12, before leaving for Qatar on the 13th.

"Ang mangyayari 13, 14, 15, 16, (training cam) and 17 uwi kami ng gabi," said Chua of the national team's hectic schedule. "And then alis na ulit ng umaga (18) for Taiwan."

Gilas will be playing Chinese Taipei on the 20th and New Zealand on the 23rd for the final leg of the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.

Chua said should Gilas travel directly from Doha to Taipei, the team won't have the benefit of practicing prior to the game.

"Kung di-diretsuhin namin, meron kaming four or five hours na layover sa Hong Kong, darating kami ng Taiwan gabi na kaya hindi na kami makakapag-ensayo," he reasoned out.

The team initially is amenable to the setup, but Chua turned it down.

"Sabi ko gawin natin umuwi tayo ng gabi para yung mga maduduming damit maiwan na nila, and then makakuha sila ng panibago (damit), and then alis ulit ng umaga para darating kami dun ng tanghali, makapag-pahinga ng saglit, and then makapag-ensayo kami before the game against Taipei," he added.
